Committees

Responsible for planning and hosting an annual banquet with regard to venue, date, content and execution.

To organize, run and host activities, events and programs with the immediate goal of educating current equestrians in aspects of horsemanship and featuring our Morgan horses with the long term goal of recruiting new Morgan enthusiasts.

Aid the Board of Directors and Treasurer in fulfilling the fiduciary obligations of the Association to the membership through reviewing the financial affairs and policies and goals of the Association and by making recommendations to the Board and various committees about them.

Responsible for the oversight of: 1) shaping the governance of the MMHA Board; 2) assessing, selecting and nominating strong, capable candidates to serve on the Board; 3) developing and recommending to the Board governance principles, standards and bylaw modifications; 4) making recommendations as to the size, composition, structure, operations and performance of the Board; 5) oversee the Board's succession planning.

The Massachusetts Morgan Horse Association (Mass Morgan) Board of Directors shall appoint a Membership Committee whose purpose is to monitor, promote and encourage all forms of membership in Mass Morgan.

To motivate, educate and involve youth in MMHA and encourage involvement in and promotion of the Morgan breed.
